At Little Cherubs we carefully select our staff for their compassion, passion, patience, warmth and consistency as well as their understanding of the developing and ever-changing physical, emotional and intellectual needs of the children in their care. We have a strict recruitment process, whereby all our staff are vetted to meet the stringent Ofsted requirement's.

 

Key Person Relationship

At Little Cherubs we realise that your child needs warm and committed care as well as continuity. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to us that we focus on building a friendly, warm and secure relationship for your child to enable them to flourish during their time with us. A key person system provides young children with the opportunity to make attachments in a positive and affectionate way; reducing any levels of anxiety. Parents/ carers anxiety levels are also reduced when they know that the person looking after their child is familiar with his or her likes and dislikes, and the knowledge that their child feels comfortable and at ease. Therefore, every child will receive their own key person on their first day to create the start of a unique and caring relationship.

Staff Training

At Little Cherubs, we ensure that all staff attend regular and relevant training courses. Most of our training comes from the Redbridge Training Programme, however, we also use external agencies for group training sessions. In order to see what training we require we make observations on staff and look for areas of improvement. All our staff have up to date training which is updated annually.
